Publications
Over the course of his professional career, David Duerr, P.E. (ret.) authored two books and numerous technical papers and periodical articles on heavy lifting, rigging, specialized transportation, and structural engineering. Mr. Duerr was also a regular speaker at lifting- and rigging-oriented construction industry conferences. This page contains a list of all of Mr. Duerr's publications and lectures. Links are provided to those publications that are available online and that are considered to be of current value to lift planners and lifting specialist engineers.
When using or referring to any of these publications, please observe the date of publication. Many of these papers and articles cite various codes, standards, and regulations. All such citations were appropriate and correct at the time of writing, but may be out of date today. It is incumbent upon the reader to be sure that the provisions of current codes, standards, regulations, and professional and industry practices are applied.
