Accident Investigation and Expert Testimony

Beginning in 1993, 2DM Associates, Inc. president David Duerr, P.E. (ret.) has provided technical investigation services and expert testimony in matters relating to accidents involving cranes, rigging, specialized lifting and rigging equipment, and oversize / overweight transportation. Clients in litigation matters have included specialty rigging contractors, crane rental companies, general contractors, law firms, insurance companies, and facility owners.

Investigations performed have included high-profile accidents, including the collapse of the "Big Blue" Transi-Lift at Miller Park in 1999 (left) and the drop of the Arkansas Nuclear One Unit 1 stator in 2013 (below right).

Mr. Duerr has served both plaintiffs and defendants. Services have been about 30% plaintiff, 70% defendant.
